​I took my troubles down to Madam Rue
고민거리를 가지고 루 아줌마한테 갔지요

She bent down and turned around and gave me a wink

She said I'm gonna make it up right here in the sink
아줌만 바로 싱크대에서 그 약을 만들어주겠다 했어요
It smelled like turpentine and looked like indian ink
그건 송진냄새가 나고 먹물같이 생겼어요
I held my nose, I closed my eyes
난 코를 막고 눈을 감았죠

난 밤낮을 분간 할 수도 없었어요
I started kissin' everything in sight

But when I kissed a cop down on 34th and Vine
그런데 34번가와 Vine가 사이에서 한 경찰한테 키스를 했을 때
He broke my little bottle of Love Potion Number Nine
그는 나의 그 작은 사랑의 묘약 9번 병을 깨 버렸어요
